Digital Downloads have always been a curiosity to me. I like the idea of creating something once and having it earn money many times over for as long as you want it to be out in the marketplace. I think they call this passive income. I like the sound of that.
Digital downloads creation
Today I created my first digital download that will be on sale on Etsy. I am very excited about it. I put together a list of over twenty-five quotes that are sure to motivate even the unmotivated. It was fun to gather this information and put it in a document that I designed.
I've always wanted to put together a book of quotes, but it seems like a whole book of just quotes might be daunting. But when I created this small document, I felt like the number of quotes that made up toy booklet were just right.
Why I am working so hard
The reason I am working so hard on digital downloads is because I decided to create a job for myself, instead of waiting for a job to be created for me. I like working for myself. I am happiest when I have a project and earning money - all while working from home.
There's a lot to learn and I'm learning it at what I like to call YouTube University. There are so many generous people who share their experience and work to teach anyone who is interested for free. Yes, there are courses I could take on another platform but I'm not there yet. Plus, I have no budget for classes right now.

YouTube has everything from how to open a digital download shop to uploading digital products on Etsy. I've also used my Kindle Unlimited subscription to check out books about digital downloads and how to start a digital download business.
The best way that I learn is to be hands-on, so I started a project, my motivational quote booklet, so that I can go through the steps of having something to put on sale at Etsy. It's not too steep a learning curve, if you study up before you do anything.

The Digital Product Blueprint: How to Create and Sell Digital Products That Generate Sustainable Income by Sebastian Knight and 500 Printable Ideas for Etsy: Creative Products to Sell Online.
The latter is list of ideas for producing a digital download. I didn't find an author, but you can find this book by its title. The Digital Product Blueprint book takes you from the very beginning of creating a digital product, all the way to marketing it and selling it. It certainly is a blueprint for starting your own digital download business.
In the days to come, I will tell you step by step of my journey to create an inventory of digital downloads to sell. I am very excited, and I have great hopes for this business. Stay tuned . . .
