It's been more than a year but finally the House of Cards with Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright is back on Netflix for a new season. I love this show because it makes you think. The plot twists are always spinning out and the acting is excellent.
Can't pass up good writing
I do have to admit that the story is dark. However, the writing is so wonderful, you can't pass it up. It's kind of like a Washington horror story and we, as viewers, get to watch behind the scenes.
Worthy Binge watching on the sofa
There is nothing better than to cuddle up with my Kindle Fire on the sofa and binge watch House of Cards. Are you a fan of House of Cards? If you haven't seen it before, you've got to watch from the beginning to understand each season. The dialogue gets so complicated sometimes that you have to put on the subtitles so that you can understand what is going on.
House of Cards by Netflix
Today is the premier of the third season of House of Cards and I don't have the time to binge watch but I will catch one or two episodes today. there are thirteen episodes in all and they are just under an hour each.
House of Cards was one of the first series developed by Netflix and it's gotten a whole lot of attention from the award shoes. Kevin Spacey is a top-notch actor and so it Robin Wright. The supporting cast is also very strong.
Is binge watching a bad thing?
Do you binge watch Netflix shows? I like the saying "binge" watch but I wonder if the word is more negative than positive. To binge on food for example reminds me of bulimia and that's a condition that can't be taken lightly.
Is binge watching streaming episodes a negative thing? How can something so much fun be negative? Uhg, I don't even want to think about binge watching being negative. But eventually someone will write an article declaring that binge watching is bringing America down. But, it won't be me!
Binge watching as a family activity
I am the mother of five: three boys and two girls. My children are young adults mostly but I still have a daughter at home. We binge watch some shows together and it's lots of fun. We enjoy each others company and bond over our favorite shows.
As far as the young adults that don't live with me anymore, we binge watch but we love to share our favorite episodes from our binge watch. So, you could say that streaming video gives us something to share and talk about.
Too much of a good thing
What do you think? Is binge watching bad? Anything can be bad if you do too much of it. As far as I'm concerned, I am will probably say that binge watching is my hobby and as long as I have time, I will keep doing it. What about you: will you continue to binge watch?
Anyway, if you are also watching the House of Cards, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. What's your favorite show to binge watch? I'd really like to know.
I'd love to know what you think
