Jennifer Weiner

Jennifer Weiner is the kind of author you fall in love with right from the start.  I discovered Jennifer by watching the movie In Her Shoes.  When I saw the e-book of In Her Shoes, I was really excited.  I love to read books that have been made into movies.  I don't mind if I've already seen the movie; I still enjoy the book.

Two sisters in a complicated relationship

In Her Shoes is about two sisters who can't live with or without each other.  It's a book that gives us a look into the complicated relationship of two sisters.  Examining relationships is one of Weiner's strong suits. 

Mother and daughter battle it out

In the book Certain Girls Weiner examines the relationship between a mother and daughter.  A bonus is that Certain girls features the heroine of her first book Good in Bed, Candace Shipero.  If you didn't fall in love with Candace in the first book, you will in the second. (I feel bad because I can't remember the nickname that Candace goes by in the books.  If you know, please post in comments:)

So many books, so little time

There are many Jennifer Weiner books to fall in love with. The take-home from this post is that any Jennifer Weiner book is going to be good.  Truthfully, I didn't know Jennifer Weiner has written so many books since my library's e-book site only has about four or five of her books.  I might have to go to Amazon to find more of her books.  I love it when I discover an author who is a prolific writer -- then it's so many books so little time!  It's good to find such a treasure trove of Jennifer Weiner books.  Moreover, when I discover an author, I just keep reading him/her until the books run out.

A book that stands-out.

One Jennifer Weiner book that really stands out in my mind is All Fall Down, a book about a woman who has everything - including a prescription drug addiction.  It's such a moving book.  The main character, Allison, story starts at the beginning of her addiction and goes through all the pitfalls of being addicted to a drug.  Weiner really tackles the difficulties that face contemporary women and mothers so well that you totally understand why Allison takes the path of drug addiction.

Overall, It's a guarantee that any book that you read of Jennifer's will be good.  What are the authors that you like to binge read?
